The Summit E-420 gas grill features an enclosed cart with corresponding painted steel doors with stainless steel trim and chrome plated cast aluminum handles. All grills have an accent-colored painted steel frame and have a porcelain-enameled shroud with polished handle and trim, a center-mounted thermometer and accent colored painted, cast aluminum end caps. The cooking system, rated at 48,800 BTUs, includes 4 stainless steel burners and a Snap-Jet individual burner ignition system. The cooking grates are 9.5mm stainless steel rods. The grill also features stainless steel Flavorizer bars. The primary cooking area measures 538 sq. inches; the warming rack measures 112 sq. inches, giving a total cooking area of 650 sq. inches. The Summit E-420 gas grill also has a 12,000 BTU-per-hour input flush-mount side burner. Other features include 2 stainless steel work surfaces, 1 Grill Out handle light, 6 tool holders, enclosed tank storage area and precision fuel gauge, 2 heavy-duty front locking casters, and 2 heavy-duty back swivel casters. Grilling with perfection

This is my 3rd grill bought in the last 15 years. Had 2 Broil Kings. My previous grills did an adequate job but having been using the E-420 Summit for the past 5 months has made me realize why Weber is the "King" of BBQ grills. Prior to purchasing, I was convinced this time I would go "high end" so I checked out brands such as Vermont Castings, DCS and others in the top level. I settled on the Weber after visiting the dealers and comparing the materials. Weber has the best price/quality available. This purchase was made during the winter months (best pricing from dealers who are out to unload inventory).
Performance has resulted in the food tasting great with even temperature throughout the majority of cooking surface. Unlike my previous grills which had identified hot spots, BBQ'ng and Grilling can be done without continuous shifting of food to attain eveness. When cooking chicken (with skin) or other fatty meats, flare-ups are kept to a minimum with the grill design, as well as drainage and clean-ups.
The packaging is well thought out with minimal assembly required. Weber after sales service is likewise, just as excellent as the product. After the initial hook-up to the natural gas line, the side burner would not light up consistently (sometimes taking as many as 10 pushes on the ignitor). Customer Service immediately gave me suggestions to further trouble-shoot and when nothing worked, swiftly sent me a new burner ring and it has been "one click" since.
My other grills were good but this one is great! They lasted more than 7 years each but the Weber looks like its going to last a lifetime. I highly recommend this product to those who love grilling often. My tip is to get the natural gas model as the burners are powerfull. Having the propane version, a spare tank plus countless trips for fill-ups, will be a necessity.

My old Broil Mate LP grill finally gave up it's ghost , as the store I'd purchased it from stopped carrying the parts because it was so old.
I'd paid about $250 for it, and it had served me well for almost 9 years.
I started searching for a small, no frills LP grill to replace it with, since we seldom entertain big groups. Most I could find locally were close to $600, and had all the options that I had no use for. Found this Weber Spirit e-210 online & based on reviews, bought it. While it WILL cook most foods well, the build quality I found to be disappointing for the price I paid. Worst of all the "Flavorizer bars" and cooking grids are cheap stamped steel with a thin porcelain coating, and are already starting to rust! (I bought this only last March and use it only once or twice per week)I live in California, and cover the grill every time after use, so it is well protected against weather conditions . And the cost of replacing them both is over $100.00!! I tried to find higher quality after market grids , but the unique dimensions prevent this too. Also the burner design is such that you cannot "split the burners" for indirect cooking, instead of side by side burners, then are front and back.
I will say that it functions well from week to week, steaks, burgers, fish etc come off cooked perfectly. But the Weber brand was supposed to stand for quality. For my $400 I wasn't expecting to have to spend an additional $100 every year for new grids and bars. I doubt I will ever buy another Weber product after this.

Excellent grill, hook up was easy once the natural gas line was in place. We love that you can walk over to the grill, open the valve and start cooking. No propane bottles to go empty and have to worry about going to refill. Cooks great!
