Look in the spice aisle at the grocery store and buy some Montreal Seasoning.
Rinse your steaks, take a sharp knife and cut very small diagonal rows on your steak. Take the Montreal seasoning and rub into the rows, then place in a ziplock bag in the refrigerator to marinate for about an hour.
Place on grill and cook until you get the correct doneness that you prefer. Then enjoy!
Ugh. Get rid of the blasphemous thing, and get a charcoal grill. Use mesquite chips (soaked in water for about 20 minutes), season your meat with Tony Chachere’s, and grill it slow over low heat.
GRILLED RIB-EYE STEAKS WITH PARSLEY-GARLIC BUTTER
The garlicky herb butter is similar to the butter served with escargots in southwestern France. IMPROV: When preparing the butter, try a shallot instead of garlic, and thyme instead of parsley.
For the Parsley-Garlic Butter, mix together in small bowl, then cover and chill:
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
1 garlic clove, pressed
2 teaspoons Cognac
Salt and pepper
Prepare barbecue (medium-high heat). Rub with generous amounts of salt and pepper:
3 1 1/2-inch-thick rib-eye steaks (about 1 pound each)
Grill steaks to desired doneness, about 6 minutes per side for medium-rare. Cut each steak in half, top with spoonful of chilled butter, and serve.
Makes 6 servings.

I swear by Stubb’s beef marinade the stuff is the best! Marinate your steaks for at least 2hrs in it then baste with it during grilling.
Make a dry rub with spices you may have in your pantry.
I like to go the southwestern route. Try something like this. It has a kick, but still let’s a good piece of beef be a good piece of meat. Doesn’t overwhelm anything.
Paprika (preferably Spanish or Hungarian)
Chili Powder
Cumin
Garlic Powder
Onion Powder
Cayenne Powder
Oregano or even Italian Seasoning Blend
Touch of AllSpice, or cinnamon for sweetness
Salt
Pepper
Mix spices. Rub into meat.
Check out Cooking Light magazine. Last month’s magazine had a special just for grilling steaks. One thing they recommended was to put salt on the steak right after you finish grilling it, and let sit another few minutes so it’ll cook while the salt makes it juicy.
I haven’t tried this yet, but will.
It might be on their web site too. http://www.CookingLight.com
