i would split it in half and leave myself about 1 hr to cook on grill to finish by spliting it will cook more evenally then whole…try putting a metal bowl with water soaked hickory chips on the grill about 10 minutes before bird and cook them with the bird really get a good smoked flavor…

I would follow the minutes per pound cooking instructions, and the last 10 minutes put it on a hot Weber just to crisp the skin and bring that charcoal flavor.
