Last year for Father’s Day I received a grill made by Vermont Castings (model # VCS3517), purchased from Home Depot. It doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles, it simple works and looks great. Costs around $400. Consumers Reports also had it listed as a best buy.
The only time I would not recommend this grill is if you want the extras (e.g. side burners etc).
I suspect Home Depot would have a bunch of grills to choose from right now, and probably on sale too. Me, I prefer a 2-steaker Weber grill that I can use briquettes on and then hide away in a box the rest of the year.
visit your local home depot buddy. happy fathers day!
Weber One-Touch.
Only one burner, though.
I wouldn’t own a gas grill.
We bought one from Costco this year and love it! It is the Kirlkland Signature and is made of high quality stainless steel.
We paid about $800 for it. It has 3 burners as well as a rotisserie (w/ infrared burner & light), side burner and an infrared sear burner. The cover was also included. A nice surprise was that it came out of the (huge) box almost fully assembled.
We have used it about 50 times since getting it in early Spring and we are very happy with it. If you have Costco in your area I highly recommend this grill.
If you can’t get this one, when shopping take a magnet with you. It should not “stick” to the grill if it is high quality. Every stainless steel grill you see is not the same. Lesser quality ones will scratch for one thing.
