Product Description |
| The Weber One-Touch Silver kettle grill is perfect for anyone who wants a well-designed, no-nonsense grill that cooks up food deliciously. Perfect for backyard barbecues or just whipping up an evening meal, this impressive grill has a cooking surface (22-1/2 inches in diameter) big enough to accommodate six large steaks, twice as many burgers, or up to a dozen kebabs. And the One-Touch Silver's classic kettle shape radiates heat evenly and keeps charcoal flare-ups to a minimum. The barbecue pioneers at Weber--they've been making grills since 1951--know how to design a grill that lasts. The One-Touch Silver's porcelain-coated steel bowl and lid are exceptionally strong and designed never to rust, fade, or peel. The grill's hardware is of the highest quality. The aluminum vents and ash catcher won't rust, and the grill's tripod base, nylon handles, and all-weather wheels combine to make this Weber both exceptionally sturdy and easy to maneuver. Weber's patented One-Touch cleaning system--a clever setup of lever-activated blades--sifts ash out of the kettle and into the grill's removable catch pan. You never have to get your hands dirty--and emptying the kettle takes only a few seconds. For those in search (or need) of culinary guidance, Weber includes a 31-page owner's guide filled with cooking tips and time-tested recipes for grilling everything from pork chops to bratwurst to Cornish hens. |

Weber 22.5 Silver

| Hoooeeee, love my new grill! I upgraded to the 22.5 inch Silver just for the increased size. My old 18 inch Weber is still going strong after 14 years. Keep'em clean, dry and out of the weather and you can easily get 20 years of use from one. |

Was Expecting Much Better Quality
|
| Review Date: June 10, 2010 |
| Reviewer: DC Girl, Washington, DC |
| I just got it this week and assembled it yesterday, so this review isn't about how it grills, but about the assembly and quality of the Weber Silver Kettle grill. I was pretty disappointed. After reading all the reviews about this grill on Amazon and other websites, I was expecting a fairly simple assembly and a good quality product. Unfortunately, I don't feel that way after putting it together. One of the metal legs on the grill was warped, the porcelain coating inside the grill was scratched revealing the metal underneath, the wheels and legs seem really cheap and not held together tightly, and trying to get the metal legs fully onto the kettle was a huge hassle and seemed near impossible without fear of cracking the kettle. The bent/warped metal leg was definitely not a result of delivery and I feel that it should have been caught during quality control before it ever made it into the box. It's just really disappointing for me because I was expecting a lot more from this grill. That said, I was able to put it together though I still worry a little about the sturdiness of the base. I'll update my review after I actually start using the grill. |
WEBER - The Best!

In response to the review that said he'd have to wait for 20 years...I've owned 3 (that's right, just three) Weber grills. TWO are in my possession right now: 22.5" and the beach grill (travel size). The one prior to this I owned for OVER 20 years (they last forever!), and the X confiscated it. Can't blame him, and don't. No need to go into the 'this and that's' about a Weber grill. Once you have Q'd on a Weber, you'll be in love! Charcoal or Gas...WEBER IS THE BEST!!

I love my new Weber, and if given the choice I would take the Silver over the Gold any day, with the Silvers charcoal pan I remember to empty it every time, If I were to have a gold if would get filled up and not let the air in through the bottom and it would make my grill cook colder. I know I could always remember to empty the Gold's pan, but I just wouldn't.
I had a CharBroil kettle grill before and I definitely enjoy my Weber much more. |

I bought it for my son in New York and he loves it. He learned how to grill so this is his first and it fed him all last summer. Wish I could buy one for my condo in DC but I can't. Have to use electric only.
The size is of the grill area feeds 4 easily. |
American made charcoal grill - the only one!

| Reviewer: John W. Mycroft, Asheville, NC, USA |
| If you care about US jobs and want a charcoal grill that does a great cooking job then a Weber is your only choice - all the rest are made in China. I don't know about you but the idea of eating food cooked over lead and barium doesn't appeal. Besides that, this little guy is super-efficient - it lights easily, is easy to move and is airtight enough to go out after a few hours if you close all the vents so you don't waste charcoal. |

| I like the Weber gill for ease of handling, cooking and cleaning. If I were cooking for a large crowd this would not be the grill to use. But for the family home evening or week-end BBQ it is ideal. |
