I had tried to stick to a budget of under 100 dollars for our BBQ. After 2 months of unsatisfying meals from the Nexgrill, I broke down and got the Weber.
The construction is solid and the heavy duty cast iron grates make excellent grill marks and sear beautifully. The fold out surfaces are handy to perch your utensils and such on and clean up easily
My mistake was brushing on a honey and balsamic glaze to 2 of my 4 chicken breasts. This made clean up a real bother. I can not wait to grill a steak tonite!!! |

| I have a large Kenmore grill, but I prefer to use the Baby Q. It heats up quickly and cooks food evenly. Also, the grate is non stick and very easy to clean. I always run out of the drip pans so I put aluminum foil in them and just toss that at the end. Overall, this is a great grill for the money, and has lots of accessories(check out the stand). |

| I bought this grill for portability. It lives up to the Weber name. I purchased the large bottle LP adapter also as I didn't want to waste money on the disposable cylinders. The only downside is the small grilling surface, but that's what you give up for ease of bringing it somewhere on the road. |
This thing is awesome!!

| Best grill under 300 bucks bar-none. It fires right up first or second try every time. It wreaks of high quality. Grills whatever you want perfectly...steaks, chicken, burgers, fish, corn, shrimp, scallops, veggies etc. Use it with the cart and you're set. 5 stars without a doubt! |
Exellent grill!!!!

| I have just recently bought my second Weber Q grill. I loved the first one so much (we keep it at camp.) I wanted another at the house. It's pretty bad when you have a huge stainless steel grill but prefer the Weber Q. Great Grill!!!! |
Weber Baby Q 120

I have had the opportunity to use the Weber Baby Q Model 120 a half dozen times now, and I could't be happier with it. I've barbecued steaks, hamburgers and hot dogs on it and they've all cooked evenly and left qreat sear marks, thanks to the porcelain-covered cast iron grate. The grill heats up quickly and develops more than enough heat to properly sear a great steak.
I'm a little puzzled why customers so highly rated the Weber Q grill but down-rated the Baby Q. They are identical except in size! Yes, the heat output is less than the Q, but the area to be heated is less, as well.
I am an RVer. The Baby Q fits perfectly in one of my basement compartments, and its compact size and reasonable weight makes it a perfect grill for RVing. Although it's size is perfect for the grilling needs of my wife and me, it also performed admirably for us when we had company on one of our recent camping trips.
It is a dream to clean, to use, and to store. What more can you ask for?
A few reviewers complained about the Weber grills not accepting the camping-style propane cylinders seems odd to me--the type cylinder the Weber uses is the more widely available and common soldering-torch style, found at any hardware store.
I haven't had to use those cylinders yet; I use our 5-gallon cylinder, which I carry with us on our trips, and I also have available my RV's 100-
gallon propane tank. All it takes is the proper hoses and attachments.
I was concerned that the heat would discolor the painted lid (ours is the more common "silver" color) but so far the color remains the same as it was when we received it. (FYI, Weber also sells Baby Q models with forest green lids and red lids. These lids can also be purchased individually from Weber--check their website.)
The Weber Baby Q Model 120 has the fold-in tables as does its larger siblings. I have found these tables to be very helpful to me when I grill, so I don't regret spending the extra money for this model.
In my opinion this grill deserves every one of its five stars. |
LOVE IT!

Have had charcoal, gas, propane, big, small and every kind of grill you can imagine.
THIS IS THE BEST.
Easy, light, solid and well made - I use it twice as much as any other grill I've owned.
It's an absolute winner! |
problem squirrels

| Though squirrels will chew through just about anything, I have found that wrapping things in aluminum foil (heavy duty) seems to deter them. I use at least 2 layers and leave it kind of crumpled. For some reason, it keeps them away. Tabasco sauce works pretty well, too--you just have to coat things pretty often. |
just what a beginner would want

| This grill is just what a beginner would want. Easy to use and light weight, particularly after removing the cast-iron cooking grate. I read some reviews about grill not being sturdy while cleaning the grate. Though that is true cleaning the grate using warm water and little soap works just fine. Happy to have bought it. looking forward to take it to camping trips |
Squirrels

Bought my Q a year ago. I absolutely love it. It's the first grill I've ever used that puts grill marks on my food!! The surface area is unbeatable with evenly distributed cooking heat. The Weber Q is worth every penny, except for ONE thing...squirrels. Shortly after purchasing my grill (which I leave covered on my patio), I noticed something had been gnawing on the gas control handle. Soon discovered that squirrels were responsible. Thinking they might be attracted to the scent of the propane, I started disconnecting the tank and storing it separately when not in use. To no avail. Soon the critters were chewing on the handles and feet, even sitting under the grill to get better access to the unchewed plastic parts. I emailed the company pictures of the damage along with my model and date of purchase, requesting the they give or sell me replacement plastic parts. They were not very helpful. The insisted they couldn't help me unless I found some number in the handbook, which I had long since thrown out.
I really love this grill, but I can't afford to replace it every two years (the length of time it takes the squirrels to eat through the legs and control knob). Any suggestions on how to keep the squirrels away??? PS After half the plastic parts being eaten away I decided to store the grill in my shed. The result of that exercise is that now the squirrels are eating the rest of my plastic patio furniture--something they had not ever done before the Weber Q showed up. I was forced to choose, so the grill is now back out to distract the squirrels from my deck box, table, and chairs. HELP!! |
